JOSE JAVIER COLUMBIE
We are finally back!!!
After a long long absence, we are live again.
First, I want to thank everyone who asked about our weekly publication. I won't bored you with all the details but now we have a better system in place to avoid any other interruption.
With that out of the way, we have so many links to share that we decided to break it up in three issues. This will be the first one, mostly focused in community contributions because that is our main goal: bring more awareness about our loved framework. Second and Third will focus in 19.2 and Net Core.
It feels good to be back. We also have a surprise for next week but I won't spoil it now. ππ
You guys have a great week! π
Getting Started
XAF Training β Llamachant Technology Ltd
The eXpressApp Framework from DevExpress is absolutely amazing. However, the learning curve can be steep and the process can be frustrating if you don't have someone to talk to. We know this because we went through it. We started using XAF the day it was released and haven't looked back. Save yourself weeks of struggling and get a head start by scheduling a training course.
XAF
Meeting Dennis Garavsky | Manuel Grundner
I had the rare opportunity to talk for the first time with Dennis Garavsky from DevExpress in person. After almost 10 years working with him closely in the support center and after getting my MVP-Title (which I am proud of ever since) working more closely together via email, facebook and twitter it was really time to meet up.
XAF to Xamarin Teaser
I know I still owe you guys the complete article about the XAF POS Teaser but I could not help it. Here is a quick XAF to Xamarin Teaser.
New Build: Xafari 19.1.6011.2156 | Galaktikasoft
Great news: new Xafari 19.1.6011.2156 is released.

Meeting Dave and Adam -DevExpress MVPs | Jose Javier Columbie
I want to say thanks to Dave and Adam for making the trip from Orangeville. I have been following their work for a couple years already and my XAF POS Teaser includes code from their Free Modules.
XPO
Replacing WCF with AspNetCore Rest API as transport layer for XPO | Joche Ojeda
I have been using XPO from DevExpress since day one. For me is the best O.R.M in the dot net world, so when I got the news that XPO was going to be free of charge I was really happy because that means I can use it in every project without adding cost for my customers.
Uno Platform and XPO | Jose Javier Columbie
As a proof of concept I wanted to give a try of using Uno Platform and XPO together. Uno has been gaining popularity and I have to say that after this I will have a tough decision on the framework selection for my next mobile project. I love Xamarin but the benefits that Uno brings to the table are hard to pass.
Testing
T is for Testing: XAF & XPO - Functional Tests 3 | Manuel Grundner
Testing is an important part of a developers responsibilities, especially in a fast moving agile world! This is the first post in a series on testing patterns I used and discovered when testing applications using XAF and XPO applications.

BIT Xpo AgnosticDataStore: how to replace WCF middle tier with a Rest API - YouTube
In this video, I do a demonstration on how to implement a data store server and communicate a XAF and a Xamarin Forms application
Brevitas Application Framework (Alpha Release ) | Joche Ojeda
First, letβs start with that is Brevitas, if someone asks me (the creator) I will say that Brevitas is an application framework for Xamarin Forms that you can use to develop L.O.B (Line of Business) Applications. Creating mobile apps using MVVM pattern is fun, but it requires an incredible amount of time, I have been a long time user of the application framework XAF and I love its productivity-oriented approach. So when I created Brevitas that was my main goal, to save time for me and other developers, if you save development time and make money at the same time you can dedicate more time to yourself and your loved ones.
Jobs
XAF Jobs β Xafers Jobs Community
A big shout out to Xafer.Jobs Great Site, we hope more and more people, developers and companies start using it.
Social Media
Uno Platform Developers Facebook Group
Uno has been gaining popularity and even if I love Xamarin the benefits that Uno brings to the table are hard to pass. That is why we created a group for sharing information, asking questions and helping others on the Uno Platform, UWP, Xamarin and maybe a little bit of Azure.
Of course we will use a XAF and XPO backend.
